Had my eye on these boots for months after seeing Lindsay Lohan (I dont usually refer to her as a style icon but please excuse me this time) on the cover of Elle aaaaages ago.

I know they are fairly old hat at this stage but Christian Louboutin Ronfifi 100 button boots pretty much rule.

Pretty sure my life would actually be enhanced if I were to own them, boots with life affirming super powers - thats right.

They would go with literally everything, heres lil Dakota Fanning rocking a shorter pair in Marie Claire a while back.....

Now the weather has taken a turn I intend on going tights crazy. I love tights so to be honest it's not like I need the weather as an excuse, I wear opaques in summer. Henry Holland is once again ahead of the fash pack with his printed tights, check out the limited edition Citights range, available for approx €13 on tightsplease.co.uk, see link above.

My faves are the Paris tights but Im also quite entrigued by the LA tights with the Hollywood logo splashed all over them.

MND is an incurable neurological condition leaving people unable to do the everyday things the rest of us take for granted, like walking, talking and swallowing which may become virtually impossible.

The IMNDA is a small organisation relying heavily on fundraising in order to continue providing vital services to the MND community; such as financial assistance towards home help, specialised equipment on loan and home visiting by an MND Nurse Specialist. Since its foundation 25 years ago, IMNDA has provided assistance to over

3,000 members, and has worked to promote a programme of integrated multidisciplinary care for the condition.

As the association marks 25 years of care and research, it is the perfect time to take part and give to this worthy cause

Soooo readers, we meet again...................**cough, my apologies**

Im a sucker for collaborations and walking by the Mac Make Up Store on Grafton Street yesterday I was delighted to see that the long awaited Mac Venomous Villians range in collaboration with Disney has landed. They are super adorable and as much as I like to judge a book by its cover, its not all about the packaging - there seems to be a villians range for most colourings in the collection.

My favourites just from viewing them on line I suspect will be The Evil Queen's eyeshadow duos, the colours looking so rich in pigment are perfect for the colour blocking trend at the moment, they vey much seem to glisten in a certain light too so I'd imagine they are also very flattering.

The Wicked Ways and Devilishly Stylish lip glosses from the Cruella range also look worty of a try with everyone always searching for the perfect red for their lips, this looks like it might be a good 'un...

a long illness in my family that led to a berevement recently has kept me from Get your frocks off for some time now, for that I apologise but I wasnt really up for blogging...i shall slowly get back into the swing of things.

My lovely mum being the star that she is bought me a little present the other day to cheer me up. Everytime Im in BT's I go to the Alexander McQueen bag section and just hold this little lovely.....the security guys get nervous, I sigh and put the bag down.

So, while Im getting my act together I'll give you a sneak peak of the video for The Revellions new single 'sigh's'........shot and edited by my very talented boyfriend who just so happens to also play key's in The Revellions. Biast? Me??

The single is being launched in Ireland at The Retro Revival Club on August 14th in Sweeney Mongrels on Dame Street Dublin.

Fashion designer Olympia LeTan has produced a series of 21 handbags that feature embroidered reproductions of first edition classic novels. The collection aptly named 'You cant judge a book by its cover' was inspired by the designers passion for collection old books. Each bag is lined in Liberty print, has felt applique and is embroidered with silk thread. Delicious.

The bags are currently on sale in Parisian powerhouse Collette....LOVE that shop. Last time I was there they were showcasing Barbie Dolls dressed by various legends such as shop regular Karl Lagerfeld. All kinds of ace.

Hello there, was browsing the internerd today and came across the print below from a post on Blanaid Hennesseys gorgeous site http://www.blanaid.com/ and was reminded about how much I used to love making screenprints in college, my final year piece involved a lot of printing based on sayings and 'old wive's tales' if you will. I loved the simplicity of the prints and the fact that each one is eeevver so slightly different after the printing process.

oooh, so someone read's my blog, nice to know - after my fairly heavy hint a few months ago about my need and want for Vivienne Westwood shoes my wonderfully marvellously brilliant (you get the picture) lunch girls in work surprised me with said shoes in the canteen thus shocking the life from me.

So I brought them home and spent many an afternoon prancing around my living room pointing at my designer clad feet to all who entered. Alas, it was not meant to be - I loved the shoes, they didnt feel the same way about me. They somehow wouldnt stay on my feet, I did toy with the idea of surgically attaching them then snapped out of it. So I had to return them.

So, Vivienne Westwood shoes I bid thee farewell. We had some good times in said living room.

And much much much love to my fab friends in work for the thought.

Ive only recently mastered the art of applying falsh eyelashes without getting my fingers stuck together (current faves are the Girls Aloud lashes - Nadines in particular being my poison) so Im now lusting after a pair of the falsies showcased last september on models at the PPQ s/s show. Awear hosted a fab night last week rammed with students on a mission to find a bargain, drink yummy free bulmers Berry, listen to top choons spun by Phantom FM's beautiful Michelle Doherty and avail of 30% off Awears latest gorgeous creations.
What wasn't to love?
It was elbows at the ready at 6pm with throngs o stylish ladies streaming through the doors for a night of everything girly.
I managed to nab a very sparkly 'goes with everything'sequined cardi which I will wear all summer, an extreamly 'Chung worthy' ditsy polka dot skirt and a brilliant black jumper dress.
If that wasnt enough we were all treated to nifty Awear goodie bags on the way out with excellent freebies from HotPress, Rockstar Tan, Paperchase, Red Bull, Starbucks, Gosh Cosmetics and far to many other exciting bits and bobs to mention.

Debenham's latest deasigner collaboration, this time with with Henry Holland has just gone on sale on line and there are so many brilliant pieces to choose from.

Henrys ticked all the trends in his own signature unique and fun way.

Its said that he took his inspiration for the collection from 90s flick (and work of genius in my eyes) Clueless, and this is so apparent with vibrant clashing colours, florals, checks 90s grunge and vibrant graphic prints bursting from the collection.

All pieces seems to be at really reasonable pricepoints too.

Set up in June 2009, the SCOOP combine music and the arts with fundraising and charity. Next friday the 19th is the official launch.
An exciting night featuring some of Irelands finest musical talent have joined forces with those st The SCOOP Foundation to celebrate the coming of The SCOOP.....
We, at The SCOOP Foundation, are proud to announce the launch of our website, www.thescoopfoundation.com, and the benefit concert we're running to celebrate it so.

The new site will be the heart of the SCOOP universe. We hope it will also be an interactive forum, a space for supporters to get feedback and updates on the projects they are supporting or funding. It will also be a place for them to express challenging ideas and have an input into the organisation. Constant updates, photos, videos and classroom reports will demonstrate the progression of the projects and programmes. It will also all our latest news on events, fundraisers and other such SCOOP developments.

The SCOOP (Save Children Out Of Poverty) Foundation will launch their new website thescoopfoundation.com in the Academy, Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1, on Friday 19th March. The event will take place from 8pm – 3am, with tickets costing €12.

Celebrating the web launch, the SCOOP will present an unforgettable line up of some of Ireland’s best indie-rock acts and DJs. The event, taking place over two rooms, will host Choice Prize and Meteor Award nominee Valerie Francis and the Choice Music Prize winner Adrian Crowley. His album ‘Season of the Sparks’ was voted as the best Irish album of 2009 and he scooped up the award last Wednesday at a ceremony in Vicar Street.

There will also be performances from The Gandhis, Le Galaxie, The Scribble Sound System featuring Little Tree, The Ambience Affair, as well as Dublin Hip Hop/RnB legends MC Ophelia and Red Square; singer-songwriter Ann Scott; Robotnik, two-piece act Bare Audio and new comers Jobot. DJ’s on the night will be Today FM’s Alison Curtis, Jon Averill and Galway’s 110th Street playing a rare Dublin show.

I was very very sad today to hear the news of the passing of Alexander McQueen, he was truely one of the most gifted designers and visionaries of the past 20 years and I will miss his wonderful imagination and the inspiration he provided.

The 40-year-old, who was born Lee Alexander McQueen, was reportedly found hanged in his luxury flat in London's Green Park just days after his mother Joyce died.

A statement from his company, Alexander McQueen, reads: "On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand, has been found dead at his home.

"He leaves the fashion world with an unfillable void."

His tragic death comes days before London Fashion Week and a month before he was due to showcase his new designs at Paris Fashion Week.

RIP Alexander McQueen.

Above is my page, yup thats right, we each got a full page hence the eeeeeeeeeeekkkkk. I need not have been too worried tho as the Stellar team did a great job on the article and on representing each of our various styles.

Whilst at Off the Rails in the RDS on Sunday I chanced across a great little boutique called Liberty Blue which I was told is located up north at 19-21 Lombard Street, Belfast.

Gorgeous trinket necklaces, hats, brooches, hair slides and clothes were displayed amongst pictures of Debbie Harry, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Their stand was really pretty and I had to pop on the internet afterwards to check them out. Their website seems to be under construction but you can take a peek at their myspace on the above link.

Bourjois have totally stolen my heart with these beautiful limited edition make up pots containing their most in demand eye and cheek colours.

The Bourjois range first used and made popular by Parisian actresses in the mid nineteen century have just released a limited edition collection called 'Rendez-Vous A Paris'. With the help of French artist and illustrator, Nathalie Lete each pot is adorned with a picture perfect postcard view of everyones favourite fashion mecca the wonderful city of lights that is Paris.

This coming saturday November 14th sees the launch of a one off collaboration between affordable high street giant H&M and shoe legends Jimmy Choo.

Tamara Mellon has exclusively designed a Jimmy Choo collection for the Swedish high street brand encompassing womens shoes, bags, jewellery and even a capsule collection of womenswear pieces and a collection of shoes for men to boot (pun intended).

Since Tamara Mellon launched the brand in 1996, Jimmy Choo has represented independence, power and femininity.

Now the luxury shoes will be available for to all women who wanted to be a part of this universe but were not able to afford it and that’s defo a brilliant brilliant thing especially in the 'current climate' as they say.

“The H&M customer is slightly younger, yet we wanted to stay true to what Jimmy Choo is,” says Mellon. “There is a sense of rock chick but always with added elegance. The Jimmy Choo AW ’09 collection had a big Debbie Harry and chic punk-rock inspiration—leopard, neon studs—so that was our starting point. Movember is about bringing the moustache back and having some fun for a very serious cause - prostate cancer. It is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issue's, specifically prostate cancer. Mo Bros, start Movember (November 1st) clean shaven and then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache.
Now in its second year, we are all looking forward to seeing Mo Bro's & Sista's embrace the Mo once again.

I tend to off load a lot of my clothes onto my friends in the hope that if I do need them at any point I can 'borrow' them

Lately I've become increasingly beguiled with nail art - so wrong its right in my eyes. Once a big no no, now a huge yes please and thank you.

Whilst pottering around Arnotts Project in a daze a couple of weeks ago I was strangely drawn to a neatly pressed looking lady sitting waiting behind her nail art station and the array of nail art designs she was proudly displaying beside her. Admiring them from the corner of my eye whilst hiding my less than perfect nails in my pockets I supressed the desire to pounce and silently vowed to make a point of grooming my talons so she could work her magic at a later date.

Since then Ive noticed these little beauties everywhere, Revlon do some lovely press on versions as do Claires Accessories although I had to stop myself when i realised I had absentmindedly been wandering around Claire's with a set of spider web nails and full intention to buy them.....to wear where exactly Im not too sure.

My suggestion is to start off small with some DIY nail art...how fun. Its like art class all over again.

Anyone who knows me can tell you that i am a leopard print lover to an almost alarming degree so Im off to try my hand at these bad boys.....

If animal print ain't your thing, try your hand at these lace lovelies, simply cut some thin lace material to size and fit over a wet layer of clear varnish, once this is dry apply a second coat of varnish to set them. Of course the McQueen clutch probably helps to set them off but we can all dream......

Colourful options.....

So start off small but perhaps take it easy when you get to a more proficeint level, these charming little fellows below probably wont go down too well in the 9 to 5.......

After a not so brief sojourn I am back and ready to blog, raarrr.

Electric Picnic

I for one am extrreeeeaamly excited about this years Electric Picnic. I have gone every year so far from the first year when the festival was a one day wonder with Arrested Development (blast from the past or what?) to last years fun extravaganda that included The Presets and Cut Copy amongst many many others. In my eyes its one of Europes best festivals and amazingly it still manages to out-do the last every year.

This years line up including Florence and The Machine, Chic, MGMT, LCD Soundsystem Djs and faaar too many other amazing acts to mention seems to be the topic on everyones lips as the weekend gets closer and closer - 15 more sleeps and counting folks!

In the run up to the festival I've decided to ask a stylish lady about town what acts she is looking forward to and what fashions she intends to dig out for the weekend where pretty much anything goes.

Highlights of the past few years: LCD Soundsystem, Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream, Modest Mouse, The Beastie Boys, The Jesus and Mary Chain...

Looking forward to: The Walkmen, Fleet Foxes, Royksopp, Orbital, Simian Mobile Disco, Bat For Lashes, Basement Jaxx, First Aid Kit, Lykke Li, MGMT, Madness, Whitest Boy Alive, The Sugarhill Gang.

Dream Headliners: Animal Collective, Neil Young, The Brian Jonestown Massacre/The Strokes.

Your top tip: Scented moisturiser/body spray and Rennies, perfect combo to make ye feel better.

Festival Love: The buzz, the music, the culture.

Festival Hate: No easily accessible toilet first thing in the morning.

Fashion must haves for the festival: Accessories! Scarves, hats, headbands, jewellery-anything to distract people from your drunk state, your manky appearance and not-so-fresh body odour....

If you were playing included on your rider would be…….A proper bed. I NEED to sleep at festivals, even just for a few mins at a time.

What you shall be ‘rockin’ this year: Vintage high wasted denim shorts, band tees, couple of dresses, check/lace/floral shirts, vintage military/leather jacket, All a must! Oh and wellies of course.

I will be rockin a body-con blue skirt whilst rocking out to 2 Many DJ's

Well to say I'm a little obsessed with these beauties is an understatement. Ive always been a fan of the retro folksy rock look a pair of sleek thigh high boots can create. The good news is fashion has come full circle and these lovelies are all over the high street for autumn, come pay day i fully intend to be sporting a pair.
The key to wearing them this time around is to wear them with next seasons glam grunge or Glunge as its been proclaimed ie. denims, plaids, fake fur and layers. At all costs...avoid chanelling Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, keep it casual and these boots are soon to become your autumn fashion favourite.
