SWAP TIL YOU DROP!!

Fancy some new additions to your wardrobe?

Already shredded your credit card?

Guilt inducing impulse buys that you don’t wear (never wore!) taking up space in your closet?
You need SWAP TILL YOU DROP, a brand new, smart and fun fashion event that promises to work a wardrobe miracle turning your one-wear wonders into brand new gems all in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

This unique event requires that YOU bring a selection of clothes, shoes and accessories that are just not getting the love they deserve, WE will ensure that you get to see everything available to swap in your size and go home with some great new looks.
SWAP TILL YOU DROP is the brainchild of Síona Ryan, who knows a thing or two about hosting a hot event, from her early days hosting the POD to Ministry of Sound and everywhere from Berlin to NY. Síona’s roots are in fashion, studying fashion design before pursuing a career in music, she recently returned to Dublin after many years working in the music industry in London as a marketeer and record label boss (her resume happens to include launching one of the worlds biggest bands - The Killers!) This lady has been responsible for the looks of many a budding starlet and knows how to turn a glamorous look quickly and efficiently (sometimes in small spaces, possibly while holding a cocktail!) and will be on hand to dispense advice on how to change your look and get the most out of the event.
Come and experience a feel good fashion day out with old friends and old clothes – with a guarantee that you will gain new fashion finds and friends, if you play the game right.
There will be many different facets to this high-octane event: savvy swappers will enjoy playing SPEED SWAP – just like speed dating but potentially far more rewarding (and without the risk of feeling cheap and dirty afterwards!). There will be a schedule of Speed Swapping by size (all sizes welcome) so that the serious swapper can really focus on the task in hand.

Take part in our STAR SWAP SHOW – on arrival, our team will help you choose the star of your collection and we will showcase it in our STAR SWAP SHOW which will be ongoing all afternoon. Think of it as a fabulous fashion auction without the price tag and watch the swap offers come flooding in …
Lastly for that extra fashion feel good factor, take a stroll through the TUNNEL OF LUCK (donation required). Our team of Fashion Fairy God Mothers will wave their wand over you, dispensing a host of accessories, up-styles, make-up and, if luck is on your side, brand new designer items. Anything can happen in the Tunnel of Luck…..

Renowned performance artist and stylist Johnny Blueeyes is confirmed to host our Star Swap Show. Johnny is the Creative Director of London Label, House of Blueeyes and favoured stylist of some of the world’s most flamboyant stars. Johnny has created unique styles for an impressive list of artists - Lady Gaga, Beth Ditto and The Gossip, Ana Matronic and The Scissor Sisters, The Klaxons and The Noisettes to name but a few.
Dublin's own Julian Fallon; Director of 1st Option models and stylist extraordinaire will be directing style proceedings in The Tunnel of Luck - bestowing style advice and gifts. We couldn't hope for a more expert eye to tell us what we need! Kazumi's award winning hair stylist Jenni Crawford will be working her magic on the tresses of those who pass through the Tunnel - definitely worth having a bad hair day for! You will find more than luck in this tunnel……New pieces from Róisín Gartland and Deborah Veale.

Donations of pieces from John Rocha, Charles Jourdan, Diane von Furstenburg and a perky little pill box hat from Victoria Grant!

And if all this wasnt enough to have you setting up camp outside The Workmans Club until the big day, its all for a good cause...

The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association is dedicated to providing care for people with Motor Neurone Disease, their carers and families as well as supporting research into the causes and treatments of MND. MND is an incurable neurological condition leaving people unable to do the everyday things the rest of us take for granted, like walking, talking and swallowing which may become virtually impossible.
The IMNDA is a small organisation relying heavily on fundraising in order to continue providing vital services to the MND community; such as financial assistance towards home help, specialised equipment on loan and home visiting by an MND Nurse Specialist. Since its foundation 25 years ago, IMNDA has provided assistance to over

3,000 members, and has worked to promote a programme of integrated multidisciplinary care for the condition.
As the association marks 25 years of care and research, it is the perfect time to take part and give to this worthy cause
